This large Coro fur clip is shaped as a magnificent bow of cascading rhinestones. A ribbon of silver-tone costume metal is "tied" in a jaunty bow. Clear rhinestones pave the ribbon, and larger stones tumble around it like an effervescent waterfall. A fur clip is a brooch that fastens with two hinged prongs; the long, sturdy prongs are intended for wear on furs but will work well on any heavy fabric. This dramatic clip is marked "Coro Reg.Pat.Pend." This fabulous brooch embodies Old Hollywood glamour. Circa 1940.
Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger established the New York accessories boutique Coro in 1901. Coro purchased a manufacturing facility in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1929, which became the world's largest costume jewelry facility.
Details.....The brooch measures 2.37" by 3.10". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
